This home’s single-story façade mimics the natural curvature of the topography. At the home’s entry, water spills from a rooftop scupper into a vessel beside the front porch greeting visitors with the soothing sound of falling water.

A wide, patina copper door pivots open, ushering guests into a foyer with limestone flooring. From the front of the home, a concave wall of gold quartzite serves as a buffer to provide privacy from the street and incorporates deep-set angled windows to create patterns of light and shadow inside.

In dramatic contrast to it’s humble street-side façade, the rear of the residence is a series of mahogany-framed, soaring glass expanses for an indoor-outdoor feel. Copper roof panels visually enhance the fan-like shape of the home. Glass rails preserve the deck’s views of the pool, eucalyptus-wooded hills, horseback riding trails and a placid lake.

A lower story includes game room, gymnasium, his-and-her offices, home theatre, 2,000 bottle chilled wine room, guest room and bar all of which is hidden from view out front
